Steph Ayson was caught on Twitter posting about a recent date with someone only one month after the death of her boyfriend AJ Perez.

While Bagyong Chedeng was causing heavy rains in Metro Manila last Wednesday, May 25, Steph tweeted: "Oh Chedeng...You are ruining my date with @Qfilart", which sounded not so good to some AJ Perez' fans coz they thought Steph has found a new bf after AJ, who just died last month.

But Steph was quick to clarify that @Qfilart is not a new BF (boyfriend) but a girl BF (best friend) and the fans have nothing to worry about. "No no no. @Qfilart is one of my best girl friends. She's a great friend of ours! (AJ and I) HAHAHA Hindi siya guy!"

And then she made fun of the moment when she posted, "You people are so funny! Hahahah! Wait, ha. @Qfilart is on HER way here. I'll check if SHE's really a GIRL. Balitaan ko kayo. HAHAHA"

To make everyone really believe that @Qfilart, Steph then later posted a photo of her and bestfriend Queena Filart who got mistaken as her new boyfriend.

FINAL TRIBUTES. Papasok pa lang sa Manila Memorial Park, makikita nang nagtatakbuhan ang nagsidatingang fans at mga mag-uusyoso sa libing ni AJ.

Agad namang ginawan ng security measures tulad ng paglalagay ng mga iron fence, pagpupuwesto ng police at ABS-CBN security men, at identification stickers at badges (na may mukha ni AJ) ang paligid na malapit sa huling hantungan ni AJ.

Nag-set up din ng mga tent para sa mga nakikiramay at media—na kinabibilangan ng TV crews ng ABS-CBN, GMA-7 at TV5, reporters mula sa print at web.

Nag-alay muna muli ng maikling dasal si Fr. Caluag.

Sinundan ito ng pagpapakilala ng representative ng Arlington Memorial Chapels at pagpapasalamat sa mga nakiramay sa pamilya ni AJ. Naghandog din ang Arlington, isang tula na may titulong God's Lent Child.

Doon na niya nabanggit kung gaanong sobrang espesyal ang girlfriend ni AJ na si Steph sa buhay ng yumao niyang pinsan.

"The one girl who truly meant the world to him, Steph,"

sabi ni Renzo.

"I just want you to know just how important you really were to AJ. How much of a significant part you've played in his life,"

dagdag pa nito tungkol kay Steph Ayson.

"You say that he made your dreams come true, but what you don't know is you also made his dreams come true."

Ikinuwento rin ni Renzo kung gaano ka-hardworking si AJ, na kung paano raw naging artista ito ay hindi dahil sa suwerte lang.

Pinagtrabahuhan daw talaga nito ang kasikatang tinamo sa kabila rin daw ng pagiging estudyante nito.

Nakakalungkot daw na maagang nawala sa buhay nila si AJ, ngunit sa kabila nito ay marami naman daw itong na-accomplish.

Kinuwestiyon niya raw noon kung bakit maagang kinuha ng Maykapal ang isang mabait at mapagmahal na pinsan at matalik na kaibigan na tulad ni AJ.

Ngunit napagtanto niya rin kalaunan, sa pag-alala sa minsang pagkukuwentuhan nila ng Tito Gerry niya tungkol sa mga butong inililibing sa lupa at umuusbong bilang bagong buhay at bagong halaman, ganun din daw si AJ.

"People believed that the reason why people, as inspirational and as influential as AJ, are taken at such an untimely manner is because that, through them, through their passing, springs out a new beginning, a new life for the people he has inspired and he has touched.

"I just wish that we could all aspire to be just the way he was and to live our lives just the way he did," sabi pa ni Renzo tungkol sa pinsan niyang si AJ.

"I love you, man. Thanks for all the good times. Thanks for all the memories.

"We will never forget you and we will always miss you,"

Pagkatapos ni Renzo ay nag-alay naman ng maikling tula ang tiyahin ni AJ na si Chari Ortiz, na may pamagat na Love Leads Us.

Tungkol sa pagmamahal na nananatili sa mga iniwan ng isang pumanaw ang tula.

Ang nakababatang kapatid naman ni AJ na si Gello ang sumunod na nagsalita.

"If I were to describe my brother, he would be, first, hardworking, loving and an inspiration,"

simula ni Gello.

Naalala niya raw kung gaanong kasipag ang kuya niya, na pagkatapos ng klase nito ay diretso agad ito sa trabaho sa showbiz. Nagpapahinga lang daw talaga ito sa loob ng kotse.

Ikinuwento niya rin kung gaanong kamahal ni AJ ang girlfriend nitong si Steph.

Binasa niya raw kasi ang text messages ni AJ kay Steph sa BlackBerry phone na ipinamana nito sa kanya. Nagtawanan ang mga tao sa sinabi niyang ito.

May isang pagkakataon din daw na nagkagalit sina Steph at AJ at ayaw raw kausapin ng dalaga ang kuya niya. Siya raw ang ginamit ni AJ para magdala ng bulaklak kay Steph.

Nagkabati naman ang dalawa at pinanood niya mula sa malayo ang pag-uusap ng dalawa.

"I was just watching them. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I knew they were making up."

Nagtawanan muli ang mga tao dahil ang pagkakarinig ng iba ay "they were making out."

Inspirasyon daw sa kanya si AJ dahil sa pagiging mabait at generous nito. Lagi raw itong nagse-share ng blessings sa kanya. Marami raw itong naibigay sa kanya.

Sa puntong ito ay nagsimula nang gumaralgal ang boses ng binatilyo dahil sa emosyon.

"He's a role model to me, and he's everything I ever wanted to be," sabi ni Gello.

"But with everything he has given me, I always forget one thing. I always forget to say thank you to him,"

nagsimula nang umiyak si Gello nang sabihin niya ito.

"I don't even remember the last time I said 'I love you' to him..."

naiyak na dito nang husto si Gello.

"Kaya, kuya, if you're listening right now, I just want to say I love you, thank you and you're everything I wanted to be."

Huli nang nagsalita ang ipinakilalang "mentor, guide, teacher and best friend" ni AJ—ang ama niyang si Gerry.

Sa umpisa'y pinilit ni Gerry na maging matatag sa harap ng mga taong nakikiramay at nakikinig sa kanyang mensahe.

"To me, I will always cherish this moment which reminds me how wonderful it is to be a dad and a parent to a very loving son.

"For so many times, words were left unspoken in love, care, and sometimes anger, and how I wish that I could turn back the hands of time.

"However, all that remains now are memories I will treasure for the rest of our lives..."

Nadurog ang boses ni Gerry sa huling sinabi niyang ito at umiyak. Napaiyak na rin ng ibang nakikinig sa kanya.

"AJ, my son, forever you will be in our hearts.

Hindi na nagsalita ang ina ni AJ na si Marivic at itinuloy na lang sa huling pagtingin sa labi ni AJ nina Gerry, Gello at Marivic.

Binuksan ang nakatakip na salamin sa kabaong ni AJ.

Pinagbawalan muna ang media na kuhanan ang huling sandaling ito na magkasama ang pamilyang Perez.

Tinapos ang interment service sa pagpapalipad ng mga paru-paro at mga lobo ng pamilya, mga kaibigan, mga kaklase, at mga katrabaho ni AJ.

Steph Ayson: ‘AJ taught me how to love’

Friends and colleagues of AJ Perez paid their final respects to the late actor at his requiem on Monday, April 25, at the Christ the King Parish in Quezon City, a day before he was laid to rest at the Manila Memorial Park in Paranaque City.

Among those who delivered eulogies for the actor were his high school batchmates and teacher at La Salle Greenhills, where AJ finished his high school education.

Steph Ayson, the actor's non-showbiz girlfriend, also delivered a heartbreaking eulogy.

"I want to be a teacher, a lawyer, and suddenly a doctor. I want to be able to write well, to sing well, and to dance well. All of those changed except one. I knew I want to marry a guy. And his name was AJ Perez."

Steph narrated how she met AJ through a common friend and how she tried to act nonchalant during their first meeting when, in fact, her "emotions were screaming."

"I was a silly girl, writing our names beside each other. I was scribbling hearts and playing Flames and I would wake up every Saturday just to watch "About Your Love." I would sit in front of the TV and watch ASAP. I was a fan and I would like to think I was the biggest fan he had,"

Steph said.

The two met September of 2007. On Febraury 14, AJ asked Steph to be his girlfriend.

"Cheesy, but that's AJ. Cheesy, sweet, sincere. He wanted to promise me the world, but I asked him not to. Because I was too afraid to hurt him, but he promised anyway, and he kept each one of them. He asked for my full trust. I admitted I was having a difficulty, but showed me that he knows what trust means and he'll never do anything to break that,"

she narrated.

"He told me that even if I don't say 'I love you' back away or show him sweetness just like he would, his exact words were, 'I would wait a lifetime.'"

She added that while she felt mad about AJ's death,

"if this is God's way of showing me forever, I accept it... AJ taught me how to love. He was very selfless. His love was the most pure thing on Earth. It was, in every way, unconditional. And probably that's the message here. He wants all of us to love the way he did also."

"He made me so happy, and even to his last day, he would talk to me and tell me that 'I want you always to be happy. I don't want you sad. I want you to smile a lot. You know why? Because I love you.' And I know as the days go by it will be very difficult but AJ would say he'd want us to be happy. That's the way he lived. He was happy,"

she said.

Steph ended her eulogy:

"To my baby, you'll always be in my heart. Thank you for making my dreams come true. I'll take care of your family for you. And I'll love the way you loved me."

In his eulogy, Paul De Jesus, AJ's class adviser during his last year in high school, shared how the actor was just like any of his students—playful and sociable, with no star complex despite being a prominent celebrity.

"AJ was just like any of my sons in 4-C. Hindi po sya mayabang. No star complex at all. He gets along easily with his classmates. And just like any of my sons in 4-C, malako or clown din paminsan-minsan,"

De Jesus said.

Friends, colleagues remember AJ

Friends and colleagues in the industry also paid their respects during the last night of his wake, among them fellow Gigger Boys member Sam Concepcion, Kapuso stars Steven Silva and Sarah Lahbati, "Sabel" co-star Joseph Marco, entertainment columnist and talent manager Ogie Diaz, LSGH batchmate and "Mara Clara" star Albie Casino.

Jessy Mendiola, AJ's onscreen partner in his last television show "Sabel," described the actor as sincere and genuine.

"Hindi sya natatakot magsabi kung ano yung gusto nyang sabihin. Ganun syang klaseng tao. Kaya pagkadine-describe namin si AJ, lagi naming unang sinasabi na napaka sincere nya, kasi wala kang maririnig na kahit na masama tungkol sa kanya. Wala ka ring maririnig na masama na sasabihin nya tungkol sa ibang tao. Palagi syang positive. Palagi lang syang genuine sa lahat ng sinasabi nya,"

she said in an interview with members of the entertainment press.

Jessy was at home, just after rehearsals for ASAP Rocks, when she found about AJ's accident through a friend.

For her, it was painful to hear people's description of AJ as diligent and hardworking in his studies—especially since the "Sabel" staff saw first hand how he tried to balance his showbiz career and his studies.

"Sinasabi pa nga nya sa akin, 'Paano pa pinalitan nila ako? Sino kaya ang kapalit ko?' Sabi ko, 'Di ka nila mapapalitan, kasi ikaw lang na nakikita namin na pwede mag Dindo.',"

she said.

Sam Milby described AJ as

"laging happy."

"He's someone you want to be around because of his good energy, good vibes, and napakabait talaga. Such a bright future rin,"

he said.

"I just know that he's in a better place and I'm sure he's happy and that's for eternity na. But lahat kami, he touched a lot of lives and we'll just keep all the memories that we have of him,"

Sam added.

Sam went to the Christ the King Parish with KC Concepcion as soon as they arrived from their Star Magic World Tour.

At 10:30 AM, AJ's remains were then brought to the Manila Memorial Park in Paranaque City where fans of AJ have gathered as early as 9 AM to say goodbye to their idol.

It was kinda disappointing that ABS-CBN Channel 2 had no live coverage of AJ Perez' burial, and Kapamilya viewers had to satisfy themselves with News Patrol Updates. GMA 7 on one hand also provided live updates of the burial via its Flash Report.

ABS-CBN reporter Gretchen Fullido, who will be reporting about the burial later on TV Patrol, shared on her Twitter account some pictures from the funeral:

Naabutan ng PEP ang pagsasalita ni Steph Ayson, ang naiwang girlfriend ni AJ Perez.

Banayad sa kanyang pagsasalita, pero madamdamin ang kabuuan ng mga naipahayag ni Steph patungkol sa kanyang yumaong kasintahan.

Sa ilang anecdotes ni Steph tungkol sa naging relasyon nila ng young actor, masasalamin ang pagiging romantiko at likas na pagkadisente ni AJ bilang mangingibig.

"First time I met him was December 17, 2007," recalled Steph.

Mapapansing sadyang may kaukulang significance ang numerong '7' at '17' sa buhay at pagkatao ni AJ Perez.

Isinilang siya noong February 17, 1993 at namatay dahil sa isang vehicular accident sa Moncada, Tarlac, noong madaling-araw ng April 17, 2011.

Patuloy pa ni Steph, noong mga unang araw ng pagkikilala nila ni AJ, "I was planning to look for a group, for a tour...and I had to get him to join the dating game. Pero ang nag-end up, kami yung nag-date. It was actually unexpected.

"He asked me to be his girlfriend on February 14 [2008]. Cheesy, but... that's AJ!" pagbanggit pa ni Steph.

She also admitted that very moment na she was standing in front of their batchmates, "At this time, my emotions were screaming! And I wanted to hug him!

"He [AJ] wanted to promise me the world, but I asked him not to," Steph's voice started trembling as she spoke. "'Cause I was too afraid to [get] hurt. But he promised, anyway. And he kept each of them...

"I admitted I was having a difficulty, but he showed me that he knows what that means..."

Sa pagre-recall ng mga nagdaan sa kanilang relasyon, mahapdi man sa kanyang damdamin, nanaig ang kontrol sa sarili at hindi nag-breakdown si Steph.

By that, she had proven that that AJ in his young lifetime had affections for a very sweet young ladylove.

Banggit pa rin ni Steph, "The thing that we worked on [in our relationship]... AJ was the one who first expected [confidence in me]; and I was asking myself, 'Do I play my usual confident game, or do I quit back?'

"My mom said, first time, 'play with it!'" At nag-elicit ng nakakatuwang reaksiyon sa mga dumalo ang sinabing ito ni Steph.

DAD GERRY, MOM MARIVIC, BROTHER GELLO.

Nang tawagin ng LSGHS Batch 2011 moderator ang pamilya ni AJ para sa kanilang pananalita, si Mr. Gerry Perez na lamang ang nagbigay ng maikling pahayag ng pasasalamat.

Pero magkakatabi ang mag-anak na tumayo sa harap ng mga kaklase at batchmates ni AJ.

"In behalf of our families, her family [Marivic Sarte Perez], and relatives, we'd like to express our warmest and sincere thank you to all who came and...

"Once again, in behalf of my family, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you... thank you!"

PERFORMANCE OF A LIFETIME.

Sa mga testimony ng batchmates ni AJ, tulad din ng mga naipahayag ng mga naging kasamahan ng young actor sa showbiz, may nagkakaisang patunay ng kabutihan at kagandahang-asal ng young actor.

And that makes his fellow La Sallalians—o ang alumni ng La Salle Greenhills High School (Batch 2011)—truly proud.

Sa kasalukuyan, ang De La Salle University o DLSU—kabilang ang La Salle Greenhills High School, a sectarian private educational institution—ay nasa pamumuno ni Fr. Armin Luistro, FSC.

"To be a La Sallian, he gave a performance in his short life, during his time. His performance in life is something that is very important. That is how he lived—as a La Sallian gentleman.

"By his simple works, AJ performed a lifetime that pleased all of us. AJ touched all of us. That's why we are all here," wika pa ng moderator.

The moderator then requested everybody "to please give this young man an applause for a performance of 18 years...that had touched your hearts, our hearts, all of us!

"Bigyan po natin si AJ ng round of applause," aniya pa, na sinundan ng masigabong palakpakan mula sa mga nagsidalo.

"C'mon, guys, give him a standing ovation for his performance!" at lahat nga'y nagsitayo habang malakas ang palakpakan para sa yumaong young actor.

Natapos ang necrological services sa pamamagitan ng pag-awit ng mga La Sallian high school alumni ng "Hail To De La Salle," ang kanilang alma mater hymn.
